Abortion Online provides safe, compassionate and professional medical abortion services to Australian women who can't easily access an abortion clinic, in the privacy of their own home

Meet Dr Emma Boulton:

"All Australian women have the right to access safe, affordable pregnancy termination services, delivered by skilled & caring health professionals.

That's why we created Abortion Online."

What is Tele-Abortion?

Tele-abortion is the delivery of medical abortion care via

tele-health online consultation, for early (under 9 weeks) intrauterine pregnancy termination

Here's a Quick Overview of How it Works:

  1. You book your first consultation online via our HotDoc booking form. If you are a new patient, you will be asked to complete a 'New Patient Registration Form'.

  2. You'll receive an email with a confirmation of your booking time and a link to the video consultation platform.

  3. Our TeleAbortion doctor will meet with you by phone or video consultation at the time you have booked. This consultation cost will be a private fee of $90, there is no rebate available at present. This is paid at the time of booking the first consultation, please note this payment is non-refundable even if you do not show for the appointment.

  4. You get your ultrasound done locally. This can usually be bulk-billed but check with your provider.

  5. When we receive your ultrasound results, we'll contact you and invite you to book your second consultation. This is a private fee of $250 and there is no rebate available at present.

  6. You will receive an email confirming your booking and including a link to our online TeleHealth platform.

  7. Our TeleAbortion consultant will meet with you by video consultation and organise your medications.

  8. You pick up your medications from your local pharmacy (you are responsible for the cost of all medications, including medical abortion pills) & complete the medical abortion at home.

  9. We'll follow you up in one week to ensure that all is well.

  10. You do an 'at home' pregnancy test 4 weeks later.

We can get you started within 24 hours or even on the same day if necessary!?

Pregnancy Gestation Calculator

0 Weeks, 0 Days (0 Total Days)

Select the date of the first day of your last menstrual period

Note: this calculation is only indicative of your pregnancy gestation, but will give us a good idea of where you are at right now, and help to guide some of our initial decisions and options.

If you don't have regular periods or you're not sure about your menstrual cycle, you will need to have a dating ultra-sound before we can determine your gestation.

You must be under 9 weeks pregnant at the time of your medical abortion

(ie, under 63 days)

If you live in South Australia, unfortunately we can't help you, because Teleabortion is illegal in your state.

You must be within 2hrs of a hospital. Although complications are rare, we do need to be prepared.

If you live in Western Australia, you will require a referral from your GP. Contact us and we'll give you the details you need.

It is important that you tell someone you trust about what you are doing - just in case you need assistance.

If you live outside of Australia, you are under 16 yrs of age or you dont read English fluently, then you need to see a local provider face to face.

A few important things to note!!

We Recommend that you Complete the Suitability Test Before Booking Your Consultation
There are some very important safety issues and risks related to Medical Abortion. We are committed to providing you with the best possible care and if you don't meet these criteria, we won't be able take care of you properly.

We also offer face to face abortion care consultations (both Medical and Surgical) at Clinic 66 in Sydney, but for women who live too far away or who are unable to access our services face to face, we are pleased to be able to offer the tele-abortion option.

Still not sure? Compare your options!
